Dress
We now live in the era of ‘The Information Age’ (also known as the Computer Age, Digital Age, or New Media Age) characterized by an explosion of opportunities to not only access but also create vast amounts of data. As much as it brings endless information and sharing, there is also a dark side of it.
Stress, anxiety, depression, isolation and identity seeking are just a tip of the iceberg.
Nowadays, adolescents and even adults are desperately struggling to take place in a world of prevailing social media platforms. It brings social comparison and we tend to only see an extremely edited ‘highlight reel’ of other people’s lives which makes us to wear masks just for the sake of adapting this mould of artificiality. The project ‘Dress’ is a critical approach to the danger of losing our real identities by constantly trying to become someone we are not. Also instead of make a point in an older approach, ‘Dress’ chooses to criticizing it with a statement of embracing the digital art forms and implies an innovative path by combining video art and sound design in a unusual way.Video : http://www.ouchhh.tv/
